These are the questions homeowners around Tualatin ask us most. They
cover the maintenance program, new landscapes, patios and walls,
drainage and the written quote. If yours is not here, call or text and
we will answer it.
What does your landscape maintenance program include?
Our landscape maintenance and lawn care program covers mowing, edging, trimming and debris pickup. Trimming covers shrubs and small trees below six feet, and anything taller is quoted separately. The program also includes four seasonal lawn fertilizer applications and weeding of the beds. The spring cleanup and the fall leaf cleanup are part of the program year too.
Why does the maintenance program run 12 months at a flat rate?
A yard here needs care in every season, but the amount changes a lot. An OSU Extension lawn handout says to mow weekly from March to October and monthly the rest of the year. Our flat monthly rate is the same in winter, when there is less to do, as in leaf season. There is no contract to sign.
Do you do one-time yard cleanups?
We do cleanups as part of our maintenance program year: a spring cleanup and a fall leaf cleanup. If the beds are overgrown and the lawn is thin, the fix may be a yard makeover. We look at the yard first and tell you which one fits.
Do you install sprinkler systems?
Yes. We put in new sprinkler systems for lawns and drip lines for planting beds. OSU Extension says a well-kept western Oregon lawn needs watering from about mid-May to early September. For our maintenance program customers, we also handle sprinkler repairs and seasonal startups.
Do you build paver patios and retaining walls?
Yes. We build paver patios and walkways, and we lay flagstone paths too. Our retaining walls are segmental block, the interlocking blocks that hold back a slope. On a steep lot, the walls can terrace the yard, with block steps built in.
Do you install artificial turf and landscape lighting?
Yes. We put in artificial turf for backyards, side yards, play areas and dog runs. It holds its color in deep shade under trees, where OSU Extension says most grasses struggle. We also install low-voltage LED landscape lighting for paths, trees, walls and steps.
Do you hold an Oregon landscaping license?
Yes. Green Tree Landscape and Maintenance is licensed, bonded and insured: Oregon LCB #100151. Oregon requires a landscaping business that installs or builds to hold a Landscape Contractors Board license.
What area do you work in?
Tualatin sits at the center of our service area on the south and west side of the Portland metro. We work about 10 to 15 miles around it: Tigard, Beaverton, Portland's west side, Lake Oswego, West Linn and Wilsonville. To the east, the area takes in Oregon City, Happy Valley, Clackamas and Milwaukie. All of our work is in Oregon.
How does pricing work?
We price each job after we look at the yard. For a new landscape or a build, size, slope, materials and access drive the price. For the maintenance program, the monthly rate depends on the size of the lawn and the beds. Call or text (971) 772-9892, and the quote comes to you in writing.
